Roles and Responsibility

QA Automation Engineer


We are seeking an inquisitive, proactive and ambitious QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team working on Pearson English Portal project.


The goal of the Pearson English Portal to simplify and standardize the way customers can access all their relevant Pearson English content in one place with a single account.


It provides a repository of digital product assets, gives teachers access to tools such as the teacher Presentation tool and GSE Teacher toolkit as well as providing core LMS functionality to create and manage students, classes and homework.


Job responsibilities:


You will be responsible for defining, executing and maintaining test scenarios, working closely within your SCRUM team to complete sprint work in the given timeframe.


You will review the test cases and test data generated by the software test engineers and get them to address the review comments.


Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.


You must be able to communicate effectively and will be highly involved in team participation.



Job Requirements:


Extensive experience in Software Testing within a full lifecycle software engineering environment, preferably in an agile or iterative development environment.


Solid understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.


Hands-on experience of test planning, execution and maintenance of test suites.


Hands on experience of web testing including responsiveness and cross browser.


Mobile app testing experience (iOS and Android).


Proven ability to work effectively in an agile team at all phases of product development.


Use Jira to track defects and tasks.
